They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning. We will remember them ~ Laurence Binyon
For nearly a century, Legion members have shown a commitment to service, support, and Remembrance. There are as many reasons to join as there are potential members. But we all have some things in common.
As a member, you make a real difference — for Veterans and their families, for your community, and for the legacy we carry forward together. You help ensure those who served are never forgotten. And in return, you gain opportunities to connect, contribute, build community, continue to learn, and enjoy meaningful benefits. You are part of a proud tradition, and part of a future still being shaped by members like yourself.
To learn more about how you can get involved, visit your local Legion Branch and discover the many ways to make an impact.
The Royal Canadian Legion was formed in 1926 with a membership of 50,000. The Legion’s commitment to the Remembrance of those who gave their lives for peace and freedom, is as valid today as it was then. Today the Legion is one of the largest community service organizations in Canada.
