Every 6 weeks a group gather to discuss items which are requests from the Recreational Department on behalf of the resident Veterans.
The group is composed of the Manager of the Veterans Centre, President of the Residence Council, the Immediate Past President of the Residence Council, Manager of Recreational Therapy, a representative from the Arny, Navy and Air Force Club of Toronto, Pam Sweeney who is the Executive Director of the Royal Canadian Legion of Provincial Command and representative from Fort York Legion Branch 165.
The Chair opens the meeting and approves the Agenda and Previous minutes. A motion to approve both are recorded. The budget is reviewed and a motion to approve the financial report is recorded.
The Manager of Recreational Therapy reviews each request in detail with the group. The request is open for discussion and one of the contributing group will accept and fund the request tabled.
